Back in 1999, the Internet was in its infancy, Google was a mere youngster and Macomedia Flash animations were all abound. Amazon was just a book seller and Twitter and Instagram were still ideas to be hatched at a later time.
It was also the year when Oceanic Design was born. We started offering website design to small, local businesses. Many of which are still going strong today. In the early days it was all about the visuals - big pictures, wacky animations - and squeezing as much content on a page as possible. Little thought was given to how it would actually look on the various sizes and resolutions our computer screens were back then. And mobile? Ha! Not many mobile devices could access the web - and if you did have one that did, it was a pretty poor experience. So, we honed our craft, learnt how to code, implemented software, embedded scripts and wrangled with css. None of which you (or our clients back then) really cared to hear about. It was all about 'will my website bring me more business?' or 'will my site be found on Google?' That's why we don't do Jargon.GET A QUOTE NOW
